James Tunney, LLM, is an Irish Barrister who has lectured on legal matters throughout the world. He is a poet, a visual artist, and also author of The Mystical Accord: Sutras to Suit Our Times, Lines for Spiritual Evolution. In addition, he has written two dystopian novels — Blue Lies September, and Ireland I Don’t Recognize Who She Is. His website is http://www.jamestunney.com.
Here he shares his interest, as a legal scholar, in understanding issues related to globalization — as it effects economics, the rights of indigenous peoples, intellectual property law, and national sovereignty. Of particular concern is the issue of governance and the protection of individual rights. He notes that various social movements have goals regarding the establishment of a global order under their jurisdiction. These include Catholicism, Islam, and Communism. The most dangerous competitor for world domination, and most likely to succeed, he believes, is scientism.
New Thinking Allowed host, Jeffrey Mishlove, PhD, is author of The Roots of Consciousness, Psi Development Systems, and The PK Man. Between 1986 and 2002 he hosted and co-produced the original Thinking Allowed public television series. He is the recipient of the only doctoral diploma in “parapsychology” ever awarded by an accredited university (University of California, Berkeley, 1980).
