The Simulated Multiverse with Rizwan Virk

Rizwan Virk is an entrepreneur, video game industry pioneer, and indie film producer. He is author of The Simulation Hypothesis and The Simulated Multiverse.

Here he explains how a discussion of the “Mandela Effect” caused him to speculate how the simulation hypothesis might account for alternative timelines intersecting with each other. He notes that there have been many works of science fiction, notably the novels of Philip K. Dick, that explore this theme. He found that computer gaming provides many opportunities for incorporating multiple timelines. The concept is also supported by the many worlds interpretation of quantum physics.

New Thinking Allowed host, Jeffrey Mishlove, PhD, is author of The Roots of Consciousness, Psi Development Systems, and The PK Man. Between 1986 and 2002 he hosted and co-produced the original Thinking Allowed public television series. He is the recipient of the only doctoral diploma in “parapsychology” ever awarded by an accredited university (University of California, Berkeley, 1980). He is also the 1st Prize winner of the 2021 Bigelow Institute essay competition regarding the best evidence for survival of human consciousness after permanent bodily death.
