Shamanism in Mongolia with Gail Hayssen

Gail Hayssen hosts the Small Medium At Large podcast. She has worked as a successful subject in parapsychology experiments. She has also explored shamanistic cultures around the world. She is the recipient of an honorary doctoral degree from the Mongolian Academy of Sciences.

Here she tells how she developed a close connection with shamans from Mongolia who visited the United States in 2004. As a result of this connection, she was invited to present at a conference on shamanism in Mongolia. She describes a variety of adventures with shamans in Mongolia, including some in which it appeared to others that she was quite ill. Eventually this led to her receiving initiation into Buryat Mongolian shamanism, although the details of the initiation process will wait for a future interview.

New Thinking Allowed host, Jeffrey Mishlove, PhD, is author of The Roots of Consciousness, Psi Development Systems, and The PK Man. Between 1986 and 2002 he hosted and co-produced the original Thinking Allowed public television series. He is the recipient of the only doctoral diploma in “parapsychology” ever awarded by an accredited university (University of California, Berkeley, 1980).
