Improving Mental Health with Chinese Medicine with Nina Cheng

Nina Cheng is the founder of the Chinese medicine company, The Eastern Philosophy, and serves as Communications Officer and board member of The International Association for the Study of Traditional Asian Medicine (IASTAM). She is a graduate student in History of Medicine at Johns Hopkins Graduate School of Medicine with a research focus on mental health in pre-modern China. She is author of Chinese Medicine for the Mind: A Science-Backed Guide to Improving Mental Health with Traditional Chinese Medicine with contributions from prominent clinicians and historians of Chinese medicine psychology from around the world. Nina shares principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and its holistic application to mental health. She discusses the concept of qi as a vital life force and the efficacy of herbal treatments, five element music therapy, and qigong, among other approaches, to harmonize the connection between emotional states and organ systems. Ultimately, she advocates for a shift from the pursuit of happiness to a focus on contentment.

Analyzing Human Stupidity with Gabriel Kennedy

Gabriel Kennedy (aka Prop Anon) is the author of Chapel Perilous: The Life & Thought Crimes of Robert Anton Wilson. He is also a visual artist and musician.

Here he relies largely on the thinking of Robert Anton Wilson concerning the damage inflicted over history by stupid actions. He points out that we are all vulnerable to acting stupidly from time to time. A great risk occurs however when stupid actions are undertaken by individuals with political or financial authority. Authoritarian organizations, in particular, are prone to foster stupidity – by punishing those with the temerity to contradict the “top dog.”

Josephin Péladan and the French Occult Revival with Sasha Chaitow

Sasha Chaitow, PhD, is a British-Greek cultural historian, author, artist, and lecturer whose work explores the rich intersections of esotericism, philosophy, and the arts. An internationally exhibited artist, she is the author of several books including her translation of The Hieroglyphica of Horapollon Niloos, and Atalanta Unveiled: Alchemical Initiation in the Emblems of the Atalanta Fugiens. This conversation will focus on her book Son of Prometheus: The Life and Work of Joséphin Péladan.

Here she focuses on the Occult Revival of the late nineteenth century in Paris, France. The period brings to mind such names as Eliphas Levi, Papus (Gérard Encausse), and Stanislas de Guaita. The Rosicrucian novelist Josephin Péladan also played a major role in this movement that has been largely forgotten. Sasha Chaitow has made a point of reviving memory of his particular genius.

Is the World Real? with Swami Medhananda

Swami Medhananda is a monk, philosopher, and Senior Research Fellow at the Vedanta Society of Southern California. He serves as Hindu Chaplain at both UCLA and USC and is Section Editor for the International Journal of Hindu Studies. From 2010 to 2021, he led the Philosophy program at the Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute in India. He has authored four books, including Infinite Paths to Infinite Reality and Swami Vivekananda’s Vedāntic Cosmopolitanism, and has edited several academic volumes. Swami Medhananda earned his PhD from UC Berkeley and has been invited to lecture at institutions such as Harvard, Princeton, and Oxford. His current projects include two forthcoming books with Oxford University Press.

Here Swami Medhananda shares his journey into Vedanta and reflects on the living relevance of Hinduism’s philosophical traditions. The Naming Problem in Remote Viewing with Dan Graboi

Researcher Dan Graboi describes the complexities of psi perception and the scientific challenges of studying consciousness. A central focus of the conversation is the “naming problem” in remote viewing and telepathy—how the act of labeling an impression can interfere with recognizing the actual target. They explore how psi impressions often come through in fragmented, low-resolution forms that make identification difficult. Dan shares examples from his own experiments.

Understanding Tarot with Mary K. Greer

Mary K. Greer has been studying and teaching tarot for the last half century. She is author of eleven books on tarot and on magic. They include Tarot for Your Self: A Workbook for Personal Transformation; Women of the Golden Dawn: Rebels and Priestesses; The Essence of Magic: Tarot, Ritual, and Aromatherapy; and Mary K. Greer’s 21 Ways to Read a Tarot card. She has taught tarot for 11 years at the New College of California. She has a master’s degree in English literature from the University of Central Florida, where she first taught tarot in 1974.

Here she describes the history of tarot cards and the various ways they can be used both for personal growth and to help others. In particular, she focuses on the esoteric tarot system used by the Order of the Golden Dawn. Many examples are illustrated from her personal experience.

UFOs and Nuclear Weapons with Robert Hastings

Robert Hastings is author of UFOs and Nukes: Extraordinary Encounters at Nuclear Weapons Sites, and also (with Bob Jacobs) Confession: Our Hidden Alien Encounters Revealed.

Here he reviews UFO sightings at numerous nuclear missile launch sites. In some cases, these sightings were associated with either activation or deactivation of missile launch sequences. He also describes personal encounters he has experienced since childhood with ostensible non-human entities. He suggests that these entities are closely monitoring the development of nuclear weapons.

The Life of a UFO Contactee with Debra Jordan Kauble

Debra Jordan-Kauble was the central figure in Budd Hopkins’ classic book Intruders: The Incredible Visitations at Copley Woods, as well as its 1992 TV miniseries adaptation, Intruders, using the pseudonym “Kathie Davis” to protect her family. In 1992, she revealed her true identity and co-authored, with her sister Kathy Mitchell, Abducted: The Story of the Intruders Continues. That book was republished in a new edition in 2021. Here she reviews the horrific incident that occurred in 1983 when a UFO actually landed in the backyard of her parents’ home, leaving marks on the lawn as well as terrified neighbors. This incident led to many physical and emotional problems. She also explains strange, ongoing interactions with non-human entities, as well as potential government surveillance. Looking back over many decades, she believes that these experiences have been beneficial in her life.

Talking with Your Wise and Well Ancestors with Tamala Floyd

Tamala Floyd, LCSW, is a psychotherapist, consultant, and speaker. She is the first black lead trainer with the Internal Family Systems Institute. She taught at the University of Phoenix and the University of Southern California in Human Services and Social Work. Her work focuses on women’s trauma, mothering, and relationship issues. She is author of Listening When Parts Speak: A Practical Guide to Healing with Internal Family Systems Therapy and Ancestor Wisdom, and Healing the Wounded Mother, and she is a contributor to Fiercely Speaking. Tamala shares key concepts from Internal Family Systems therapy and ancestral lineage healing for connecting with a wise and well ancestor to heal personal, generational, and cultural wounds and trauma. She describes how burdens can be passed down through generations, the gifts that can be received from ancestors, and the significance of after-death communication in the healing process and for continuing bonds.

Meaningful Coincidences in Our Lives with Bernard Beitman

Dr. Bernard Beitman, MD, is former Chair of the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Missouri-Columbia. He is author of many books, including Connecting with Coincidence: The New Science of Using Synchronicity and Serendipity in Your Life and Meaningful Coincidences: How and Why Synchronicity and Serendipity Happen. Cultivating Mental Hygiene with Caroline Cory

Caroline Cory is a filmmaker, author, teacher, and healer.
